An Exxon Mobil oil refinery in Torrance, California, was on the front page of yesterdays Independent on Sunday (IOS). This company has made donations to think-tanks linked to climate change doubters. According to the Independent on Sunday “An orchestrated campaign is being waged against climate change science to undermine public public acceptance of man made globing warming. According to the IOS Climate sceptics bloggers broadcast stories last week casting doubt on scientific data predicting climate change.
I am not a conspiracy theorist but when sceptics like Andy Lewis, refuse to accept the facts about chiropractic education and insist on pushing downright fabrication you have to wonder about the integrity of some sceptics. Have a look at the way Andy Lewis refuses to accept that there are differences in the education provided at the UK chiropractic colleges. Andy Lewis has chosen the McTimoney college to represent how all chiropractors are educated in the UK. I am not a fan of the way AECC and WIC have medicalised their chiropractic curriculums, but for Lewis to insist AECC and WIC teach subluxation theory is down right dishonest. He knows the McTimoney college is not an internationally accredited college but chooses to cherry pick their website to make his generalisations about chiropractic. I did my best to explain the differences to him at the end of the comments to his posting http://www.quackometer.net/blog/2009/01/is-chiropractic-x-raying-illegal.html he dug his heels in and seems more dogmatic than sceptic and insists I must have been taught subluxation theory at AECC. Shows how much he knows about chiropractic education.
In August I reported a story about vaccinations from the Express which turned out to be untrue. Andy Lewis wrote “Richard. Would you like to do the honest thing and withdraw this and correct it now the truth of this gross misrepresentation has come to light? It is a fabricated story. You lose credibility by not making this clear”.
Not wishing to loose credibility with Andy, I removed the offending article immediately. Shame Andy did not do the same and what does this say about Andy??
